A personal goal as a science teacher has been for my students to develop a love for learning in general and to develop a passion for science. Willian, MeJo and Nola, with the rest of the team of students, provided the best opportunity for the students to experience hands-on dissections and to increase their knowledge in anatomy.

At the beginning, some of my students were worried that it would be too difficult. Down to Dissect made all the dissections fun and explained scientific terms in simple language, making the students comfortable—so much so that, at the end of the pig dissection, they were all showing their skills and knowledge. I am very grateful to each of you for fostering curiosity, making dissections accessible to anyone, for going the above and beyond, and for bringing this opportunity to us.

In-Person Dissection Events

We host in-person lab dissection events where our instructors will walk students through a complete fetal pig dissection. Students will learn anatomy and how to use dissection instruments. Check out our Register page for more information on details for upcoming events.

Virtual Dissection Labs

For students located outside of Southern California, we also offer virtual fetal pig dissection labs. Students will be able to learn about anatomy all in the comfort of their own living rooms or classrooms!

After-School Programs

For schools interested in hosting us, we will bring the fetal dissection lab directly to their classrooms! Our instructors will teach students anatomy and how to handle dissection instruments, all through hands-on activity.
